Pink Glitter

I have been really into nail art. A smile appears when I look down at my hands and see something fun, girly, or just plain pretty. :) YouTube is an awesome source for tutorials and designs. My favorites so far are MissJenFabulous and CutePolish.

Today I wanted something "quiet" but interesting. :)

An Everyday Look with Ariel Storylook

I wanted something simple but using my new palette. :)

Eyes: Ariel Storylook palette
Sebastian on the lid, Les Poissins and Unfortunate Souls in the crease, Treasures Untold on the brow bone (next time I'll do either Scuttle or Sea Shells); Flotsam to line the last line. Your Voice in the corner of my eye.
Lips: Strawberry Lemonade by Revlon Lip Butter (I keep using this color with the palette because I am in love and it reminds me of one of the lip glosses from the Ariel collection used in the YouTube video by Sephora.)

Over all I like it and think I could wear it every day without looking too... Whatever.

P.S. I have no idea why I look like I have a weird tan line. I think it might be the shadows in the bathroom. ;)

Green look from Arial Storylook Palette

Hello people. Haven't blogged in a while. Obviously. But I ran out of time... And I again got caught up in what I was going to say instead of just having an "album" for my makeup looks. So... I'm going to try to keep up with it mainly because I have rocked out some stuff and don't remember what exactly I put on.

I got the Arial storylook palette. Yay!! Thanks again to a little birdie in Jackson, MS!! That little birdie is responsible for most of my storylook palette collection. ;) Newho love the palette. :)
Word to the wise though:
1) put the eye make up on first. These shadows have lots of fall out.
2)Have tiny brushes if you are a beginner like me. E.L.F. has several that are at least $1! I had to redo my eyes because at first try I looked like a child put green crayon all over her eyes. :) And now my eyes are all blood shot.

Last one is my bloodshot eye shot!! ;)

Eyes: Treasures Untold, Atlantica, Fins (lid); Ursula & Caspian Sea (lightly on the crease); Sea Shells (brow bone); Atlantica (lower lash line); Zero eyeliner (Urban Decay)

Lips: Strawberry Lemonade from Revlon Lip Butters.

I like it! And I tried to not have such a bright green eye. ;) but I wanted to play with the greens. They really are beautiful!

P.s. Sephora and Disney: you are crazy if you don't continue this partnership and keep making these palettes. This palette sold out online in THREE DAYS and in our store in ONE!! Give us what we want people!! ;)

Ballet Beautiful

I have decided to embark on new fitness regimen.  I am re reading the book Ballet Beautiful and am trying to do the suggested plan of turning my body into a long lean ballet figure.  The website will explain all that it is about, but here are the reasons I like it.

1) The end result is more feminine than what most fitness classes/ videos accomplish.
2) I know it works because look at Natalie Portman.
3) I can do it at home, and I don't feel that I am missing out of class fun (a.k.a. Zumba).
4) Believe it or not, after the bridge series, time starts to fly by.
5) I like the peacefulness of the videos (no one is yelling at me.) :)

So here beings my "journal" of what I am experience.

Day 2
The suggested or recommended regimen is doing the classic 60 minute class 3xs a week.  This was my second time.  I am still sore from my first day of doing the whole video, but I pushed through.  I might take an Epson salt bath tonight to kind of relieve my muscles.  The abs are difficult.  I read in her book that if one cannot use the abdominal muscles to do the exercises to build up to it.  She does not want the lower back to be used.  So instead of doing the first sit-up type thing, I did another recommended abd workout where one lowers their straight legs slowly.  I did this then the stamp your feet on the ceiling, while Mary Helen did sit ups.  I want my abs to get stronger in order to do that.  And I definitely felt the abs working when I exchanged these exercises.  Other than that, my legs, hips, and butt all burned and started shaking around the second set of various exercises.  Oh well, maybe I will get stronger.  That is the goal.  Also with the one legged bridge, I can barely get my butt off the floor.  Sigh...  But I did the motions and felt the muscles working even if I did not get any air in between my booty and the floor.  ;)  I can still feel all the muscles in spastic plea of "what are you doing to us", so I am thinking it is working.  :)

My plan is to do two days of the classic 60 minute workout, then because three days of my week consists of working, I will do possibly 15-30 minute blasts from her website two of those days.  We shall see.  Plus I will keep reading her book for inspiration.  :)

Theodora palette

After a week of using the Glinda palette, I received the Theodora palette in the mail! :) yay! I really like this palette as well. I first used it on a date night with my red shoes to go with it! :) The look is from a tutorial on YouTube by the user mirellabellabeauty. She also has a Glinda palette look. Check her out. :)
So here is the finished look:

I really like the look as well as the RED lips! :) I might just have to check out more Glide-on 24/7 Lip Pencils. They are not too glossy but easy to apply. :) Very nice!
