Cinderella Palette

I love princess stuff!! So the Cinderella collection at Sephora plays to my tastes and favorite stuff! Hehe. I borrowed my friend's palette, and I will definitely get it when I go to Sephora!

Fall Palette Look 3 (Sonia Kashuk)

Here is the third look from the Sonia Kashuk fall palette. I added Demi Wispies false eye lashes to try out the glue I have in preparation of Halloween. :)
I also bought a different color of foundation and combined the two. Ivory and Nude from Revlon Whipped Creme foundation. I think it matches my skin tone better than just Ivory.
Another addition is make up setting spray by Urban Decay. :) I like it a lot.








I did the same nude lip as before; however, I put the kissable Lip Balm in Honey by Revlon underneath to not look too sickly. So tell me, is the nude lip a look for me?

Fall Collection Look 2

There is an exclusive line at target by Sonia Kashuk. I have not really ever looked at their line figuring it was a bit pricy for "drugstore" products. But a favorite vlogger mentioned their newest fall eye shadow palette. ;) it has so many pretty colors that looked similar to Urban Decay's Smoke palette. As I have mentioned before, I do not feel comfortable going out with my smokey eye application. Wanting to expand my makeup application skills, so I decided to try the Sonia Kashuk palette before taking the plunge and buying into the Smoked palette. The Sonia Kashuk palette has three different looks and instructions on how-to; this is nice for those of us who skills are not natural. :) Here is the swatches of palette.




At first I thought the colors were extremely light for their color; however, when I put the eye shadow on my eye lids, they were darker than on my arm which is good. And the glitter colors are beautiful and do not look like glitter on your eye lid, but sparkle. :) The instructions are easy to follow, too.




Of course the color does not look as dark in the pictures, but I liked the effect. The hubby said it make me look mischievous! :) I did try do add a nude lip so the eyes are the focal point.




Here's the products I used.




The lip butter is by Revlon called Creme Brulee.
The only critique I have of the eye shadows is they crease without any primer. So if you do not have any, I would suggest purchasing some with your palette. :) I wore another look today and used Urban Decay primer potion, and the shadow did not crease. :)

Darkhorse

I tweeted my eyebrows today... I know. It's slightly scary! ;) WHen I got my new Sigma brushes in the mail, they included an eye brow powder with it. Of course it is a new product they are featuring on their website. :) To be honest I just do not mess with my eye brows; they are naturally shaped pretty well, and I get really nervous that they will not be even once I get done. However, after watching several, eh... many, YouTube videos, I figured out eyebrows should get a little more attention. :) Tell me what you think? I just used the powder to darken them a little bit. And no, I have no idea how they knew which shade to send me. :)
The eyes are mainly Virgin and Darkhorse from the Naked palette by Urban Decay. I am trying to branch out what I put on my eyes. After I started using two shadows, I had a thought. Maybe to see how the color would look with my face, I should do only one toned eyes the first time... Maybe... ;) I also tried to use liquid eye liner. My hands are still a tad unsteady. :/ But practice makes perfect!
The lips are the dusty rose lip gloss from Revlon; it was featured in a "fall" makeup suggestion video. :) I do like it.








Also yes, I am tired. And my hair calmed down (the pictures are taken two different times. :> )




Also I cleaned by brushes afterwards, so you can see my new brushes!!

Elf Beauty Book 1

Don't you love the little displays Target and Walgreens have? I love to see what is new and a "limited edition"! I picked up the little beauty book by E.l.f cool edition the other day. I am unsure if it is a special thing for fall, but they had tons of reptile skin stuff along with it. The book has a ton of colors, but after getting over the overwhelmed feeling, I tried to mix and match a few colors. :). Here is the products I used and the completed face. :) (I'm thinking I tried to go a little nude.)










You can see I put the white end of the eye liner in my waterline. I have heard this helps one look more awake. Not doing that again! My eyes got very dry rather quickly. Like false eyelashes and high heels, this will be saved for special occasions and short time periods. :)

Green Eyes

This look was presented in a Beauty Department video. Yay! The eye shadow quad is rather elusive, but I found it at Walgreens! Last one there! I did not find the Color Tattoos that she's mentions, but I thought I would try this first. ;)
The look uses the Maybelliene Eye Studio Quad in Hot Cinnamon. (I know cinnamon means greens I guess, but there is a reddish color included. 😄)
I think I needed to put more blush and bronzer on today because my face is extremely pale (no sleep). Who knows. Also I tried the sock bun again, except I put Wen Defining Paste (free gift) in my hair and teased the pony tail a bit. It worked out rather well! We shall see how it stays. I do not have any bobby pins in it. :)

Intense Eye Shadow and Bun

Today my poor puppy had to go to the dentist. :( But he is ok, just very moopy. :) I'm hoping he will feel his normal cheerful self tomorrow. :)

I decided to use an eye shadow that I recently discovered unpacking my vanity box (from the move... A year ago). :)
I tried to keep things somewhat muted because my outfit was very "workout" attire. ;)
Also I have figured out I put too much dark shadow on my brushes upon first stroke. :). I have too much to begin with so my "blending" is more like rubbing off the excess. I am trying to calm it down.

Also, I went to target!! Yay! And I bought some new products to try. Isn't it sad that I already know what I want to buy next? :) afterwards I visited Bath and Body Works! Their fall candles are absolutely lovely. My house will smell delicious this fall without me baking a whole lot (not that I will not be). :) most of my Target purchases I heard about from Beauty Department's videos. LOVE THEM! I also am trying to learn a lot. :)

Lastly, I watched a video on sock buns per a friend's recommendation. :) they were so easy! I will try to like them here:

I really think the second video is more for me. When I tried to roll the sock down my hair, it did not stay very well. And I had to roll it pretty tightly into my head to make the strands stay in the roll. The second video uses more bobby pins, but it stayed better for my hair type. :)

Going out to eat sushi!! Yay! I'm wanting fall to come as quickly as possible, so I am wearing my "fall" outfit. It just makes me think of pumpkins and falling leaves. :) BTW have y'all gone to bath and body works? They have some delicious scents in candles, hand soaps, and lotions. Yum! Creamy pumpkins, salted caramel, and coffee!! Yum! Newho I'm in the mood for fall! ;) I used the NAked palette for this look.

"Fashion" Look

Recently I purchased Too Faced Romantic palette. I tried the various looks, some looking ok, some not. But today I tried it the third look again. When I bought my palette, One of the shadows was completely busted. :( so I managed to put it into a little sample container I had. That particular shadow does not go on well without adding a bit of water. It's very interesting. After wearing the shadow for a couple of hours, my eyes started to itch. :/ maybe I should have put on the primer first, but I was not planning on wearing it for long. Oh well. I shall try again another time. :)

I love the Naked palette by Urban decay!! Love it!! Newho. I wanted something simple today because it's hot, and my eye lids need a break from being "makeup-ed". :)

Make up with Glasses

I watched this tutorial on makeup when wearing glasses. I love this girl's videos and her posts because she uses products that I can go get without feeling guilty or breaking the bank (and then go get some more products :).

The main point I toke away from the video is to highlight underneath the eye. Almost to the extreme. I used my Well Rested by Bare Minerals, but I spread it almost in an enlarged triangle from my tear duct to the bottom of my brow bone and down. She is right when she talks about the glasses put shadows around the under eye and with me not getting a ton of sleep, I feel like my shadows are even more "shadowy". :) so when I'm working and fatigued, I will probably incorporate this into my make up routine just to keep myself from looking exhausted (then usually I don't feel as exhausted... Usually).

Naked palette Look 1

I recently purchased the naked palette. :) Originally I had planned on buying the new Smokey palette by Urban Decay; however, the more I looked at it the more I realized, I could barely do a smokey eye! And my confidence in wearing dark colors was lacking. So I got the Naked palette by Urban Decay instead in order to build up to my "darker side". :)

Liners (only lower lid): Loreal's Infallable pencil liner in Brown

Going to Work Look 1

Here I used the "Day" Look from Too Faced Romantic Palette. Because I was on my way to work, I kept things simple and quick (aka I didn't take a ton of time) :).

Lips: Revlon's Colorburst lip butter in Sugar Frosting

I should probably mention I was getting a cold so some of the coloring is off. Oh well. A girl at work said my eyes popped!

Aqua eyes.

My first "grown-up" eye palette is the Feminine eye palette by Urban Decay. I love it. In fact, it was sadly being discontinued when I bought it, and we had to go to 2 different stores to find it. But I still love it. My favorite shadows are: "Midnight Cowboy" and "SWF aka single white female". Love THEM! Newho I tried to use a different shade to go along with them today.


Shadows: Midnight Cowboy on brow line, SWF on lid, and Aquarious in my "V" and under the bottom lashes. The eye liner is Almay's black liquid liner.

After looking at the pictures after some time, I realized it aqua is not as bright as I thought. Oh well. Better luck next time.

How it Began

It all started in December when I met up with some friends in Texas. It's their fault!! Not mine! I bought my first grown up eye palette, and we experimented with eye shadows.  I loved feeling like a movie star! with sparkles and colors surrounding my eyes.  LOVE IT!!  Then I went back home and used the same "experimental" eye shadow combination that worked.  After about six months, I think it shall be called my norm.  :) ...

Then... I watched Marple (on Netflix).  I LOVED the makeup in the 1950's.  The women looked so glamourous!  Being the modern age woman I am I looked up how-to on You Tube!  yay!  I "learned" how to do it with some tips from a friend, and voila, I was as close to the glamour as I could with my tools.  Hehe.


Well then I caught the eye palette bug for real and have been watching videos trying to learn how to look my best.  :)  I went out an bought another palette and am planning on getting another one soon.  I know, I know, I will try really hard to space the buying out especially to play around with each palette to its fullest!!

Here I used: Loreal matte eye duo, Almay liquid liner in Black, Loreal Collegen Mascara in Black, and Cherry Red lip butter by Revlon.

My basic foundation is Bare Minerals Fairly Light with Bare Radiance unless I state otherwise.
